Source from Bangladesh

ByHand recently traveled to Bangladesh to explore the country’s rich artisan skills and local natural fibers. Along with 14 craft exporters, we found JUTE!

Jute is one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable crops in the world - and Bangladesh is the second largest exporter of Jute based products. Known locally as the "golden fiber", Jute can play an important role in achieving sustainability objectives.

Eco-Friendly Materials & Custom Design

The craft exporters we met with have great potential for the US market, especially for retailers and brands seeking sustainable production partners for custom design in these categories:

- Tabletop
- Rugs & Wall Hangings
- Bags & Totes (including promotional bags) - Plant Holders & Baskets
- Throws & Pillows
- Packaging (rolls of burlap, spools of twine)
